PART-147 TYPE TRAINING

We provide aircraft type training courses, both theoretical and practical, in accordance with EASA Part-147/66 (EU) and GCAA CAR-147/66 (UAE), and hold several other approvals (Afghanistan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan). The following aircraft types are in our capability list — please contact us to confirm whether EASA approval, GCAA approval, or both apply for a specific type:

  • Airbus A319/A320/A321 (IAE V2500) – categories B1, B2, C
  • Airbus A319/A320/A321 (CFM LEAP-1A) – categories B1, B2
Categories B1 and B2 can be combined for a full B1+B2 training course. Differences training between types is also available — please enquire.

Frequently
Asked Questions

A: The certificate itself does not expire. However, it can only be used for licence endorsement within a limited period. Under Part-66 / CAR-66 Appendix III, the type training course — theoretical and practical elements, and the OJT/OJE if this is your first type rating in the category or subcategory — must be started and completed within the 3 years preceding your application to the NAA. In practice this means the complete set of documents must reach the NAA within 3 years of your first training day. Separately, once you are exercising certification privileges, the maintenance organisation must provide you with continuation training at least every 2 years (Part-145 / CAR-145). This is an organisational requirement for keeping your authorisation current — it is not a condition of the type training certificate's validity.
